Happy Catholic Education Week!

How blessed we were last Friday to have so many grandparents, great grandparents and special visitors for our Grandparents Day. The performances presented by the classes were very entertaining. Visitors were then welcomed into classrooms for a look and then enjoyed some refreshments prepared mostly by the Year 5 students. I am sure you would agree that grandparents are very important in our busy lives and very much loved.

The senior students participated in mass today to celebrate the Feast of our Lady, help of Christians. This feast day has been celebrated in Australia since 1844 and we appreciated the opportunity to have a mass to mark the feast day. 

We are now over half way through Term 2 and as the days get shorter and colder, we notice that the students require some extra motivation and support to get through the week of learning. I remind parents of a wonderful wellbeing resource available to the school called SchoolTV. SchoolTV provides parents with support and resources to tackle some awkward or difficult topics around building relationships and connections, mental health and wellbeing for young people. Information went home this week regarding our upcoming school disco - we look forward to a fun event run by the P&F committee on Friday 14th June.
