National Simultaneous Storytime
On Wednesday our students were among over 2,359,147 who participated in National Simultaneous Storytime. This year's chosen story was Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker. A picture storybook with striking illustrations and sophisticated storytelling all whilst engaging with important environmental issues. It was wonderful to hear the author Aura Parker read her own book. There was lots of anticipation as we waited for the clock to reach 12.00pm.
The students have been busily scouring the playground looking for blue things to add to our bowerbirds nest in the library. Which is now quite full. The classrooms are full of beautiful artwork which students created after listening to the story.

Book Fair
Book Fair will be coming to our school early in term 3. This is a great opportunity to purchase the latest books and earn rewards for our school. For those new to Book Fair it is when the book shop comes to us. There will be more information to follow as we get closer to the event.
Library
The library is open every morning from 8.30am. If your student misses their library day, there is an opportunity in the morning to change their books.
A reminder that all students do need to be using a library bag. It helps to minimise damage to our library books.
Book Club
The next issue of Book Club will be out soon. Check your student's school bag for the brochure.
